What kind of game is Lemons?

Lemons is a 2-4 player, competitive, turn based strategy game where each player plays as a farmer, trying to maximize their profits and expand their farm. The game comes with 1 Two-fold board, 15 Event Cards, one pad of Week Tracker paper and 128 resource tokens. Lemons has a playtime of around 30 minutes, and an age range of 8+.

What do the letters mean on the Lemons game board?

In Lemons the board game, each triangular land tile has a letter on it. These letters each individually represent a land type: A for fertile soil, B for clay soil, and C for sandy soil. Different types of farm resources (wheat, cows, and lemons) can go on different land types. Wheat can grow on all land types, Cows can live on land type B or C, and Lemons can only grow on land type C. For more information, visit our YouTube channel and watch our How to Play video.

Is Lemons suitable for my child?

If you child likes math, strategy, or competitive games then Lemons is for them.

Is Lemons educational?

Our original board game, Lemons, is a turn-based strategy game about building a farm as well as income. The game can teach very basic math concepts, as well as how money invested in assets (farm tokens such as cows, wheat, and lemon trees, in this case) can multiply and grow. Lemons is also a good game for building strategic thinking and planning skills, too!

When will Lemons (the board game) be available for Online purchase?

If the "Shop" page of our website says that there are no products available for online purchase currently, that means that we are out of stock. If you would like to join the mailing list to receive email notifications when stock increases, then email contactlemonsboardgames@gmail.com. We apologize for any delays in replenishing stock, and we will try to get games back up for online purchase as soon as we can.

Why did you start Lemons?

Lemons was created by kids. We didn't just come up with the idea - we turned it into a reality almost completely on our own. Lemons was originally created to cure lockdown-induced boredom, but later expanded to the game it is today! See the Our Story page on our website for more information!

Are there any other board games available for purchase?

So far, Lemons only sells our original board game: Lemons. We are working on potentially creating more games in the future, and/or expansions to Lemons (the board game.) Join the mailing list to stay updated on new products and releases.

How much does Lemons (the board game) cost?

Lemons, our original board game created by kids - for kids - costs $39.99 USD (not including shipping or tax). The game has high-quality materials (such as laser-cut pop-out item tokens, a high-quality folding board, and a pristine pad of Lemons week tracker paper) that can last hours of playtime.

How long will my online purchase take to ship?

Lemons is based in New Jersey, meaning the farther your shipping address from New Jersey, the longer it will take for your items to ship.

Where can I buy Lemons (the board game) in-person?

Lemons does not have a physical store, nor is it sold in any game shops. However, we occasionally have events where we sell board games in person, (which also means you can cut shipping costs and potential damage / delays to your purchase entirely!)
